The daily workload of raising chickens depends on the size of your coop, how healthy you want your flock to be, the mostly I think what you want your coop to look like in the future.

Defining factors. More chickens = more work. Tight spaces = more work. Poor planning and coop design = more work.

1. Coop cleans out: We find a taller off-the-ground coop easier to clean, you may find a different design that works better for you. From chicken floors to heavy-duty wire mesh floors that allow droppings, each has its advantages and disadvantages. Find the one that works for you but, keep ease of cleaning in mind as strongly as you do comfort for your chicken or security from predators.

2. Food: Periods when chickens waste food, plan accordingly. Preferably the type of feeder that avoids waste, the chickens have to stick their heads in to access the food, but not allow the food to fall out at will. Feeders of this design are selling very well.

3. Water: Very important, it is best to change the water once a day. Make sure they have fresh, clean water every day. They are grateful. keep the dirt out of the water while keeping the chickens drinking. If you feed your chicken water with this type of nipple(following pictures), it will reduce your workload. because they don't dirty the water.
